THE STORY OF POP PRINCESS

Jaz is a teenage songwriter who has been singing since the age of 2, playing piano since the age of 4 and began composing songs at the age of 6. Music quickly became a growing passion of hers. When Jaz was 5 years old, she performed live for “Apollo Kids”. Although she didn’t win, this was the beginning of a lifetime pursuit of all things musical. At age 7, she recorded her first song, “Flexibility”. Next, was a role as the youngest member of the musical cast of ‘Joseph’s Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.’ This was soon followed by a solo in the musical ‘Annie, Jr’. In the musical ‘Honk, Jr.’, she sang and danced her way into the hearts for her audience. Jaz’s love of performing arts has remained solid and is reflected in her choice of projects. It has also led to some work in feature films. Although Jaz has performed with many community acting companies, you will find her supremely fulfilled at home, on the piano composing her own creations. She is a proud member of The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.
Still passionate about all things music, at the age of 13, she reached her goal of becoming a recording artist.At 14, she focused on the release of her EP Jaz: "Anyway" which helped her to garner a Charlotte Music Award for Best Pop Artist 2009 opening the show with a live performance of her original hit "This is a Reality".
Now 15, Jaz is headed back into the studio to work on recording her follow up CD due out in the fall as well as lending her vocals to other interesting studio projects for iTunes and Apple applications. In the meantime, you will find this singer/songwriter/pianist supremely fulfilled at home, on her piano composing her own creations and mastering her rendition of great covers.
When she was 13, Jaz took part in‘Songwriter Girl Camp’ with professional #1 songwriter, Kirsti Manna, and award winning producer, Bill Warner, from Warner Works in Nashville. Attending camp allowed Jaz to continue to mature as a songwriter, empowered her to nurture her creative potential, and inspired her to take her writing skills to the next level. These industry pros have worked with a variety of artists including Reba McEntire’s Starbuck Publishing Company, Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks, Lil’ Jon and many others.
